The BPC Annual Awards are made in recognition of long and distinguished careers, and individuals who have supported or made a significant impact on the British poultry meat industry. Michael Poultney won the Mid Career Award, and was praised for his solution focused leadership, tackling challenges head on. Philip Proud won the Distinguished Service Award, marking nearly 50 years in the food industry, where he’s shaped operations from factory floors to international supply chains. These awards are among the most prestigious honours in the industry, and as a company whose greatest asset is its people, to see more of the team recognised by the wider sector is hugely rewarding. ## Share: - [Share on Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u=https://www.avarafoods.co.uk/news/celebrating-success-at-the-british-poultry-awards) - [Share on X](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=https://www.avarafoods.co.uk/news/celebrating-success-at-the-british-poultry-awards) - [Share on LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/sharing/share-offsite/?url=https://www.avarafoods.co.uk/news/celebrating-success-at-the-british-poultry-awards) ## Good news [View all](https://www.avarafoods.co.uk/news) ## [![](https://www.avarafoods.co.uk/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/1702913432-av-sign-Oct-15-2025-11-12-29-2687-PM.png?noresize) 24 Apr 2026 Gender Pay Reporting We've published our 2025 Gender Pay reporting Read more](https://www.avarafoods.co.uk/news/gender-pay-reporting-1) ## [![](https://www.avarafoods.co.uk/hubfs/2.jpg?noresize) 25 Mar 2026 Progress With Purpose: Avara’s Latest Responsible Business Report Lands Avara Foods publishes it's latest Responsible Business Brand, 'For Good'.
