Over the course of 2025 our teams across the business have consistently been proactive supporters of their communities, donating their time, knowledge and resources to important local causes. Christmas 2025 was no different, and saw our colleagues really pull out all the stops.
Whether it was colleague fundraising, product donations or present collections, our colleagues went the extra mile to help those that need it most over the Christmas period.
Collectively our colleagues fundraised over £7,000, through a variety of communal events, including Christmas jumper days, charity bike rides, cake sales and raffles.
In addition to our regular weekly donations to food charity FareShare, we supported a host of other food charities and organisations across our operational sites over Christmas. This included a donation of 450kg of Turkeys to homeless charity, Crisis. Every year they run a Christmas campaign to help those that are sleeping rough, or don’t have anywhere to call home. They rely solely on donations for all the food they use in their Christmas lunches, and Avara turkeys were a key element of this, helping feed thousands of people across their network.
